The Question That Changed My Week
The past few weeks have been some of the most stressful, but also some of the most rewarding, of my journey.
Building something meaningful is not just about strategy or execution. It is about carrying uncertainty, solving problems, making difficult decisions, and continuing to move forward when the outcome is anything but certain.
At one point this past week, I was carrying more than I had let most people see. I felt the weight of everything on my shoulders.
Then someone I genuinely like and have a great deal of respect for simply asked, "Hey, are you okay? I heard you screaming. You sounded stressed. Is everything okay?"
It was such a simple moment, but it gave me exactly what I needed to keep showing up at my best. I still think about that conversation and how much of a difference it made.
Looking back, I believe that moment may have changed the course of my future. Not because it solved every challenge, but because it reminded me that we are never carrying everything alone.
The experience also changed my perspective. I gained a deeper appreciation for the people who quietly choose to care, encourage, and show up without expecting anything in return. Those are the people I want beside me as we continue building.
That person probably has no idea how much that moment meant to me. I am looking forward to telling them.
As we move into America's 250th year, I am incredibly grateful for the people who have become true allies in this journey. They have earned my respect through their actions, and they have become an important part of this journey.
Kindness, encouragement, and simply asking someone if they are okay can have an impact far greater than they may ever realize.
