About

I am Andrew Motyka. I run Onward Upward Sports & Events, and I live in West Chester, Pennsylvania.

What I do

I plan events. That is the center of it. The programming, the on-site services, the entertainment and the creative work all attach to events and exist to make them better.

Onward Upward Sports & Events is a 2026 MUSE Silver Winner (Outstanding New Agency) and was featured in VISTA Today in October 2026.

The company is based in Greater Philadelphia and runs events across Pennsylvania and beyond.

How I got here

I spent about fourteen years in corporate work and left in September 2024 to build this.

What exists now is a company with clear standards and a network of people doing good work together.

The rest of it

The company exists so the life can. The business funds the life, never the other way round.

I am not only the work.

Sports, a long attachment to the Shore, live music, travel, and writing. The people in my life stay off the page.

How I operate

Decide what is not for sale before anyone asks. Hold a standard and let results carry the argument. End the wrong bets early. Go where one relationship opens ten.

Onward. Upward.
