Writing the Onward Upward Mantra

Every founder has a reason for writing. Mine began as survival, anchoring my thoughts, my growth, and my mission into something real. The Onward Upward Mantra was born from momentum. Writing it transformed the daily chaos that had been happening when I started Onward Upward Digital back in September 2024 into structure, rhythm, and clarity. It became my alignment tool, my way of maintaining focus on what moves life forward.

Writing has always been a cornerstone of growth. It represents expression, accountability, clarity, and truth made visible. Many embrace it for the same reason, some to understand themselves, others to grow through reflection, and others, like me, to share what they have learned and elevate those around them. Writing creates connection, alignment, and lasting impact.

Yesterday marked a major milestone, Onward Upward’s first-ever speaking opportunity, held at the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce. I want to thank the Chamber for having us. They are one of Onward Upward’s valued partners, and I fully recommend joining them. The connections, collaboration, and community they offer build real momentum, and the investment brings exceptional value.

Each mantra reflects a phase of progress. Writing them keeps me grounded, sharp, and tuned into the actions that create results: execution, presence, and alignment in motion.

Recently, I have experienced how powerful pacing can be: balancing drive with recovery, movement with meaning. In helping someone through their own season of long days, I see how strength grows through consistent alignment and trust in form. Growth emerges through awareness and steady focus.

Last night reflected that same energy. Kyle Schwarber launched one deep into the night: pure focus, precise timing, full belief. It carried echoes of Matt Stairs’ 2008 blast, when Joe Buck called, “Stairs rips one into the night.” This one felt every bit as defining, called by Brian Anderson with that line: “Uh-oh, Schwarber going to send one way out of here.” Different voice, same force. Still badass.
