The Next Step - And What’s Beyond
When you build something from nothing, the outside world rarely sees what it takes, the long hours, the risk, the constant self-belief. But what most people never talk about is the emotional weight founders carry behind the scenes.
For me, that weight did not come from the actual work itself. It came from people I thought were close, people I believed would have supported the mission but instead tried to drag it, and me, down. The manipulation, guilt, and control that surfaced during this journey nearly cost me everything: my peace, my time, and the focus that built this company.
And yet, through all of that, real ones showed up - people who didn’t just say they believed in me, but proved it through quiet consistency. Partners who saw the vision early and stood steady. Collaborators who moved with integrity and matched energy with effort. And a few rare souls who reminded me that calm strength and kindness can still exist together - that when you lead with a good heart, life has a way of bringing others with the same energy into your orbit.
Now that we are scaling, the next step is clear - to continue growing Onward Upward Digital and solidify everything we’ve built this first year. The systems, the partnerships, and the vision are all gaining real traction.
But beyond that, something deeper is forming. A broader purpose taking shape through everything learned along the way. It’s about helping other founders and builders stay centered and focused when outside forces try to pull them off course. About resilience, clarity, and independence, the same values that built this company.
At one point, it almost broke me. But I realized it didn’t, it revealed me. It showed who I was when everything external fell away, and who truly stood beside me when the noise got loud. It forced me to define what alignment actually means, not in words, but in how people show up when things get real.
Scaling is the next step. But this. This is what’s beyond. A purpose that grew from experience, and a vision that could help others build freely, without the weight that once tried to pull me down.
What almost broke me became fuel. And what comes next will turn that pain into prevention.
